Free Agency Signing: The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed infielder Aaron Miles to a minor league contract. He is currently working out at the team's Spring Training complex in Arizona. Miles hit .275/.314/.346 in 490 plate appearances for the Dodgers last season. Throughout his career, Miles has primarily been used as a second baseman but he has had experience at several other positions as well. Once he joins the major league club, he will probably used as the teams utility player until Jerry Hairston Jr. returns from the DL with a hamstring injury.

Analysis: This is a good signing for the Dodgers. They get some much needed infield depth and Miles can fill in for Hairston Jr. while hes on the DL. When he gets back Miles can either go to Triple A or he may even stay on the big league club as another utility player. Overall, this signing will give the Dodgers some much needed bench help.
