Cubs acquire Koyie Hill from the Reds

The Chicago Cubs have brought back catcher Koyie Hill after acquiring him from the Reds in exchange for cash considerations. Hill will be with the team for tonight's game against the White Sox. Hill wasn't hitting that well for the Reds' double A affiliate so far this season, and he was never that great with the bat. Hill spent the last few seasons with the Cubs before the Cardinals signed him in January. He was released by the Cardinals and the Reds picked him up.

Not a big signing, But provides some depth at the catching position

Analysis: Well, someones gotta replace Kerry Wood on the 40 man roster I suppose. Hill will be serve as the teams backup catcher and should get some moderate amount of playing time.
