Pirates claim Sutton off of waivers from Rays

The Pirates have claimed infielder Drew Sutton off of waivers from the Rays this afternoon. Sutton spent less than 24 hours with the Pirates earlier in the season.

In late May, Atlanta sent Sutton to the Pirates for cash considerations. The next day the infielder was traded to Tampa Bay for a player to be named later. He was designated for assignment by the Rays on Friday. In 51 plate appearances this season, Sutton is hitting .271.
