The Angels plan to make a run at acquiring Brewers starting pitcher Zack Greinke, if he becomes available later this month, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.comThe Orioles, Braves and Rangers have also had interest in getting Greinke. Some believe that the Angels, however, are a "perfect fit."
The Angels have a huge payroll with Albert Pujols and C.J. Wilson earning a huge contract contracts this past off-season. Ervin Santana and Dan Haren have club options for 2013 that will likely be declined, and that should trim some payroll.
