Padres designate Mark Hamburger for assignment

I wonder if he was picked in the sandwich round of the draft.

The Padres have designated pitcher Mark Hamburger for assignment. In a corresponding move, the club  activated outfielder Jeremy Hermida from the 60 day disabled list and sent him to Triple-A.

Hamburger was claimed off of waivers by San Diego last month after he was designated for assignment by Texas. He had a 7.50 ERA in 12 innings pitched for the Rangers' Triple-A affiliate this year.
