The White Sox have placed pitcher Gavin Floyd on the 15 day disabled list today with right elbow tendinitis.Floyd was scratched from his last start last minute and had an MRI on Sunday, which revealed no structural damage. This DL stint is retroactive to July 8.
Floyd is 7-8 with a 4.54 ERA in 17 games started this season. He has also struck out 91 batters in 103 innings pitched.
The club recalled fellow starting pitcher Phillip Humber off of the disabled list to make tonight's start.
