The Nationals have claimed veteran shortstop Cesar Izturis off of waivers.Izturis has hit .235 with Milwaukee this year, but his versatility will be very useful in Washington. The Nationals have been seeking infield depth with Ian Desmond on the disabled list. Izturis will be eligible for free agency after this season.
