Phillies acquire O'Sullivan to complete Blanton deal

The Phillies have acquired pitcher Ryan O'Sullivan from the Dodgers to complete the Joe Blanton trade. The Dodgers acquired Blanton earlier this month.

O'Sullivan was a fourth round pick in the 2011 draft, and has posted a 3.05 ERA in 88 1/3 innings at the Single-A level this season. Baseball America ranked him as the 23rd best prospect in the Dodgers' farm system entering this season.
