The Athletics have signed pitcher Mike Ekstrom to a contract that includes an invite to Spring Training.Ekstrom threw 15 2/3 innings out of the Rockies' bullpen in 2012, and posted an impressive 9:2 strikeout to walk ratio.
Analysis: Bullpen depth at its finest. I don't know if Ekstrom will make an impact but he does have good strikeout numbers.
