The Twins have announced that pitcher P.J. Walters has elected free agency after refusing his outright assignment to the minor leagues. Minnesota outrighted him off the 40 man roster last week.Walters started 12 games for the Twins in 2012, posting a 5.69 ERA in 61 2/3 innings.
Analysis: Walters did not really pitch well in 2012 and I don't expect him to really make an impact with whatever team he signs with.
